We, at St Stephen’s Anglican Church, have accepted this invitation and pride ourselves in giving back to communities through our social outreach programs. We are committed to a range of social outreach initiatives that have been running for many years. Some programs are as a result of relationships built with organizations established to provide a haven for people who are in need of special care, require special assistance, and that are vulnerable and need a safe space to live.

Pastoral Care
St. Stephen’s pastoral care ministry prides itself in supporting and providing guidance, counseling, and care to members of the congregation. Pastoral care involves listening, advising, and praying with individuals and groups, often in times of crisis, struggle, or even celebration, with the aim of helping them deepen their faith, find comfort, and navigate life’s challenges. We also support the spiritual formation, perform sacraments, and facilitate community programs to promote spiritual growth, healing, and well-being. Through pastoral care, our ministry seeks to embody the love and compassion of Jesus Christ, offering a safe and supportive environment for individuals to explore their spirituality and find solace in their faith in God.

Spiritual Formation Ministry
Spiritual formation is a lifelong journey of growing in faith, character, and intimacy with God. It involves practices and disciplines that shape one’s inner life, such as prayer, meditation, scripture study, and service, leading to a deeper sense of purpose, meaning, and connection with God. Through spiritual formation, individuals seek to cultivate a Christ-like mindset, embodying values of love, compassion, and humility, and living out our faith in everyday life. This transformative process enables believers to navigate life’s challenges with wisdom, resilience, and hope, and to become more fully the person God has called them to be. Spiritual formation ministry is done by various ministries within St. Stephen’s church and is led by the Ministry Support Team (MST) under the guide of our Rector, Rev. Sharmain James.
