One of the highlights of July was the launch of our very first Holiday Club, hosted at our church premises from the 1st to the 3rd of July. This inaugural event exceeded our expectations and demonstrated the value of providing faith-based holiday activities for children within our community.
The three-day programme brought together 19 children and nine dedicated leaders, creating an atmosphere filled with enthusiasm, learning, and friendship. The activities of each day were carefully designed to engage children spiritually, socially, and creatively.
These included interactive games and team-building activities, daily devotional sessions, arts and crafts projects, reading and storytelling activities, sports and outdoor recreation and movie sessions.
We shared meals and refreshments and created opportunities to develop friendships and community connections. A particularly special and meaningful aspect of the Holiday Club was the joint session involving the children and Bible Study members of St. Stephen’s Church. It created a beautiful intergenerational connection and experience which encouraged relationship-
building between different age groups within the parish. This was warmly received by everyone involved.
The success of the Holiday Club would not have been possible without the generous support of our parish members. The Church and individual parishioners donated food, resources, and time. They ensured every child felt welcomed and cared for throughout the program. This collective effort reflects the strength of our church as a community and demonstrates what can be achieved when people work together. The positive feedback received from both parents and children has reinforced the value of this initiative, and has inspired us to make the Holiday Club an annual event. We are already looking forward to an exciting Holiday Club 2027!
Creating a safe, fun, and faith-centred space allows us to continue to build strong foundations that help children develop spiritually, while creating lasting memories and meaningful relationships.
